CONYERS, Ga. — Final testing will soon be on its way to transfer Rockdale County’s emergency radio system to digital format, a move that planners said will greatly improve audio quality of emergency calls.

What I want to know, is are they gonna go encryption-crazy like Hall, Gwinnett, Walton, and Dougherty ? Or will they THINK and only "secretize" a few special groups ?

I've been tracking it via Unitrunker for the past few days and so far all activity is logging as unencrypted. I don't have a Phase II capable scanner so I can't verify it but hopefully that's a good sign.

i know a couple of the deputy's for Rockdale Co. SO and they say only the sensitive groups will be encrypted so far..... but who knows...
