Excellent

This is exciting news. let's give a big shout out to all those Ohio public safety professionals using sophisticated digital two way communications tools. I bet those scanner users are really excited out there in Ohio. Nothing like a digital signal to brighten up your morning.

The Ohio MARCS system is actually not a new system as it has been around for about ten years. It is nice to see these agencies finally put politics aside and join the state system, and with the "new" MARCS-IP Project 25 Phase I system eventually replacing this old Motorola Type II Smartzone system they will benefit even more.

As far as scanning goes the old system could be difficult to receive especially before rebanding.

The new "IP" system sounds really clear and can be heard at greater distances depending on tower affiliation.
