TOPEKA (KSNT) – Some local fire stations are getting a 15 million dollar upgrade. It will help reaction time to calls and help with stress levels. That upgrade comes in the form of new radio and alarm systems for 12 Topeka and five rural fire stations. While the radio will allow for more reliable communication, the new alarms are designed to minimize stress from the alarms.
