Default Panasonic CF-28 CMOS Battery Replacement

So I've downloaded the service manual for the laptop and I'm wondering if anyone has a way of replacing the cmos battery without completely disassembling the laptop.

Well, there is no other choice besides near complete teardown. Cmos battery is underneath and in front of the left hinge cover. Was hoping for an easy access door but no dice.

It was a chore, but I shouldnt have to go in there again for at least another 5 years.
