Hp A6000-power supply question

I'm having somewhat of an issue with the power supply for this computer. It appears the main power connector is a little short. Here's the odd thing I'm hoping someone could clarify. The part number on the power supply matches the model number for this computer. The motherboard matches the part number for this computer. Hence, the power supply should work.

I've worked on computers since 286's were top of the line. This doesn't add up. See pictures below. I've yet to power it on simply because this doesn't look right and I don't wanna burn out anything.

The first 20 pins of a 24 pin connector are the same as on the 20 pin so it should work just fine

Note the missing wire in the harness..there's a pin there but no wire. So you're saying this should power up as connected?

The extra 4 pins are for a different video card. You should be good.

Thanks. Appears you are correct. According to the HP support forum a 24 pin ATX power supply would be required if I added a PCIe GPU.
