I have conflicting information from what people are telling me, the database and submissions.
https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=409

Talkgroup 14224.

The database shows this as an admin channel, P25 and encrypted.

There is a submission that its not encypted and is still analog

Another states its an emergency channel based on user activation.

So the question(s) is/are:

Is 14224 an Admin channel?
Is 14224 an emergency channel?
Is 14224 both?

Is 14224 P25?
Is 14224 Analog?
Is 14224 Mixed mode?

My last information is that all emergency services went P25, with town services remaining analog (with the old PD/FD/EMS radios) until P25 radios were filtered down to the other departments.

Anyone shed some light on this before I make changes?

Thanks!

Not sure where you are getting the info but 14224 uniden or 372 hex or 882 dec is not currently used, I have run trunker and other programs on the system for months and thats not a talk group that ever pops up.
Their emergencys for the entire town always pop up on TG 3152/C5/197

FD & PD are Digital voice on a 4.1 system just like CSP is currently, with PD encrypted. PD/FD/EMS are still using the XTS5000s they have been using for 10 years+ and I was at a job site 4 weeks ago with Greenwich DPW and the portable they had was an MTS2000 and the truck had an old Spectra in it

The entire town is transitioning to a P25 Phase II system by the end of the year or sooner, with PD still AES.
