Heard testing on 33.58 and 460.275 around 10 tonight. Did I miss something? Because the data base has deleted 33.58 Ledyard dispatch and replaced it with 460.275.

33.58 is still going to be utilized for dispatch simulcast / broadcast for Ledyard. Preston is still on 33.58 as well, so I've been told. We were still communicating on 33.58 back to Station R yesterday during a dual response yesterday.

The information I got about the UHF system, Ledyard will be completely operating on the new system. They'll get toned out on Dispatch and then be assigned a "TAC" channel, all three of which are repeated. Dispatch and all the TACs has talk-around channels as well.

We are having our UHF mobiles and portables updated where I work so we can easily communicate with them since there is a lot of dual response. I'm working with the radio techs at my work on this.

Yes sir! Already have it and its a good layout for the radios I think.

It seems like a good radio plan. It would be a better plan if the departments in the area could choose VHF or UHF, not f&^king both, town by town. But that is a whole other issue.

What??? Are you thinking of that nasty swear word that begins with "r" and ends with "egionalization" for communications? lol

Yah you would think like they did with low band many many years ago. But also its availability of frequencies for the area to avoid interference. And a few other things.

Not sure why someone would delete it from the database if it is and will be in use. Not that it matters to me but still...
