This has taken weeks to do but it works now. I assume you have a Shark Openspot. I purchased the additional items off Amazon. One TP Link N1`50, TL MR3020 Wireless N Router $29.44, One Solar battery 20,000 mah Akeem brand, $36.99, Additional small cables, $10.00 and a Peliken 1060 box, $19.99, and lastly a Freedompop Franklin Wireless modem. $19.95. The Freedompop costs $19.95 for the item, them you can get 500 mb of data free access of the Sprint cell system. The TPLink has three access modes, a 3g4g Routere mode a WISP CLIENT ROUTER MODE AND A AP MODE. The AP mode is the one you want, so first turn on the Freedompop, just charge the battery, nothing else. If you purchase from Freedompop direct, unit is already activated. With the Freedompop turned on, plug your TPLink into your router on your computer. Then type in 192.168.0.254 to bring up the TPLink setup screens. On the left side of your computer screen , quick setup, click that. Next, Repeater mode, then the next screen, far right, Survey. You then see all the different wifi signals at your location, find Freedompop, then slidfe to the far right and click connect. Its blue in color. This automatically inputs your equipment name and your MAC address. Then go to the bottom, click next, then reboot, ok. THATS IT!
You then can attach your Shark to the TPLink, and you are good to go. All the printed instructions, other than the 192.168.0.254 are pretty useless. The Freedompop, has very limited instructions. All the programming on your Shark Openspot, nothing has changed, you can again plug into your computer and you are working.. But if you get the items I mentioned, and do the steps, it works! The Peliken box, its a clear top, so with the solar battery on the top, all other items are inside the waterproof box, The Battery can be charged via the cars 12 volt system, place the box under the seat and you should be able to work the Shark from your house, If you live in a high rise, probably too far from your car to your residence, so you would have to carry the box containing all items back and forth. ALL THE SETUP IS ON THE TPLINK, NOTHING ELSE NEEDS TO BE DONE EXCEPT CHARGING THE INTERNAL BATTERIES AND OPENING THE SHIPPING BOXES. All the items can be recharged from the 20,000 mah battery. With alittle design work, you can create a switch to turn on all items and then turn off, or just unplug all when finished running the Shark Openspot mobile.
