Anyone had problems using the SCHEART codeplug for the MD380
My radio will not accept the downloaded codeplug
New radio, maybe firmware incompatibility??

That SCHEART MD380 codeplug is more than a year old.

Nevertheless, are you using an MD-380 or an MD-UV380 radio? The MD-UV380 will not read an MD-380 codeplug.

I would use the N0GSG Contact Manager -- N0GSG DMR Contact Manager Support Page -- to see if it opens the SCHEART codeplug without errors. The software can convert an MD-380 file to a MD-UV380 format if that is required.

Hi, Thanks.
I'm using a UHF 380.
I tried the N0GSG, without success, but have not had a chance to re-visit that route.
Thanks for the reply, 73's.

My experience is the N0GSG sw will show codeplug programming errors not apparent when viewed in the TYT sw.

A trick I use with N0GSG at times is to first open a small (perhaps a half dozen entries) "good" codeplug and then append the questionable (or converted) codeplug. Assuming it seems to mash together, I will then load it into the radio with the TYT software to test.

New to this DMR game this summer, I found the N0GSG read-me PDF to be quite helpful for the subtle not-so-obvious features.

HTH a bit.

Hi,
I found a empty zone, which was the first, and always showed up as un-programmed.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Clidd
