Sorry to intrude on the Ontario group  ...

The Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM, Montreal's FD) has converted from a 3600 baud control channel system with the P25 CAI to a real P25 system with a 9600 baud CC.

Expect many used BC250Ds and BC785Ds to be available in Montreal very soon. :(

VORTAC has updated the talkgroups at http://radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&sid=2952

Looks like the channels all stay the same from a firefighter's point of view (a good thing), but the TGs are all different (not divisible by 16 in Uniden format).

This is the eastern Canada forum so every bit of relevent news
like this is welcome. No indication of encryption on the SIM, I hope?

Now, if we could only get the DB Admin to add Labrador and PEI to
the list of provinces, we'd be in fine shape. Merry XMAS!

No reports I've seen (I'm a little out of range).

Hate to break the news to you Dave, but PEI and Newfoundland are both listed in the database.

Not much listed under them, but they are here.
