Anyone have an (of course) un-official channel line up for the FBI?

It would be nice if it were that simple. The problem is that every area of the country has a different channel plan. The only section of the band that is almost 100% FBI is 167.2125 to 167.7875. The other channels they use could be almost anywhere in the band. And then there are the inputs to the repeaters usually lower in the band around 163 and 164. When they need more channels then what they can use in the 167 section, they start using unused DOJ pool frequencies that are scattered from 168 to 173. These are often shared with INS,BP,ICE, so it is different in every part of the country. What is FBI in NY could be INS in FL etc.

You might be able to get someone in your area on the Regional Forum who can help you. Most of us "regulars" here search all the time looking for everything. My local list is HUGE, but it would not help you much where you are.

Unfortunately there is NONE on a National Level as each Field Office creates them differently. The only one that appears to have any common [there are differences] is Zone D [look for previous threads]

If you look at the old posts for this forum, I used to be more regular here than I am now. Actually I kept trying to get this forum created.

I understand what you're saying and I know that what you have might not be correct here, but I was just trying to get a general list and can go from that.

SOFA_KING would you be so kind as to mail or PM me that same list or a similar Central Florida list... I am over in Ocala, and I believe that your monitoring over on the east coast of FL, therefore, some freq's may work well for me. There may be central Florida freq's that may be of interest to me, such as federal freq's or just wierd stuff. Thanks in advance

Sofa makes a great point, What I have for the Dallas Area is NOT the same for say Houston or Austin like it should be or even like what say DEA use which is much more uniform.

167.23750 167.9 FBI
167.26250 167.9 FBI
167.28750 167.9 FBI
167.31250 167.9 FBI - C-5/C-6 PLANO/SHERMAN/DENTON CO.
167.33750 167.9 FBI - B-2
167.36250 167.9 FBI - MID CITIES
167.38750 167.9 FBI - A-3 / SIMULCAST WITH 173.8125
167.41250 167.9 FBI - A-1 GRANDBURY/GLEN ROSE/COMMANCHE
167.43750 167.9 FBI - A-2 DALLAS PRI / SIMULCAST WITH 167.7875
167.46250 167.9 FBI
167.48750 167.9 FBI - GLEN ROSE/STEPHENVILLE/GRANDBURY

167.63750 167.9 FBI - MINERAL WELLS RPTR.
167.66250 167.9 FBI
167.68750 167.9 FBI - SURVEILLANCE
167.73750 167.9 FBI - B-5 MID CITIES
167.76250 167.9 FBI
167.78750 167.9 FBI - A-7 NORTH
164.55000 167.9 FBI - OCDTF COMMON
170.67500 167.9 FBI - SURVEILLANCE
170.82500 167.9 FBI
173.10000 167.9 FBI
173.17500 167.9 FBI
173.81250 167.9 FBI
173.98750 FBI

I'd bet they do it for a few reasons, Not each city have the same frequencies available to them and of course for National Secrecy or Security. I remember when the Dallas FBI office was in our West CBD (West end of downtown) I counted some 8 to 10 antenna's on their roof. but that has been some time ago (Pre 9/11 even) the only thing all of us across the country would agree on is that 167.9 is more than likely consistant everywhere.

Thanks guys. I just wanted something to compare to what I have right now. Hell, I had from some list that 167.100MHz was FBI...it's being used for USGS. :)

Wait a while before I post what I find. :)

Every radio has the following "D" channel lineup:

D1 168.8625 / 164.550
D2 164.550
D3 166.4625
D4 167.5625
D5 167.5375
D6 163.8625 / 167.5375
D7 163.100
D8 155.475

Just a word of caution. It is exciting to listen into surveillance, but never go to the area (if known). Just kick back in your home or office and enjoy what you hear. I know for a fact that the FBI conducts "training operations" throughout the year. These "training operations" usually involve many agents. The main purpose is to enhance the art of surveillance for the team. One to many agents will transmit "in the clear" and give away there location. Other agents will note any vehicles or persons that are in the area or keep driving by the area of interest. They have used aircraft support in the past. This operation also is used to find out who is listening into there communications. It works very well and has for many years. They would sometimes use the same motel for this type of "cover" operation. Yes, we know the frequencies, but always stay away from the surveillance.

Are the D zone channels current?
I remember seeing those listed about 15 years ago.

During a 05/20/08 FBI/Cook County SD/local PD joint training exercise at a Chicago suburb mall about three miles from my residence, I received P25 encrypted on all frequencies listed with the exception of 155.475. After the exercise concluded, the only clear analog traffic I have heard part of the group was on 167.5625.

Don't know if the D channel desigations are still current as the frequencies are not often used. All other (eight channel) FBI frequency groups in Chicago are analog and still use the same alphanumeric channel identifiers that have been in use for years.
