NAC/Encryption

If a frequency has a NAC Tone, does this mean its encrypted? If so are there scanners that will decrypt the NAC tone?

A NAC is the P25 Equiv of a PL/DPL tone.

Yes there are some [GRE is one] Scanners that will Display the NAC

Both P25 [Clear] and P25/Enc [Encrypted] always have a NAC tone [the same]

I believe all current digital scanners (both Uniden and GRE) support NAC tones.

Encrypted is encrypted, you won't hear it, you won't hear it on any scanner.

460 mhz NAC BD2 is used by a sheriff Department in Florida. All Encrypted.
