Default ATF Investigating Five Alarm Raleigh Fire

A six story new construction apartment building in downtown Raleigh erupted in flames last Thursday night, burning to the ground. ATF has assumed lead on the investigation with the reason given being the total amount of damages done.

Was down there today and saw a number of ATF agents walking around and got to see the outside of the ATF mobile command center (in photo). I did not see the agents with radios, and only saw a short cell antenna on the bus/command center. ATF has talkgroups on the NC Viper system they could use, in addition to their own radios, but it seemed that the onsite agents were only using cellphones today.

I'm continuing to listen for traffic from them on fed freqs and Viper.
