166.4625 seems to be a common ICE/DHS freq. It's used out here, is analog and has no PL.

i dont know all of them, but i know that
866.0125 is the primary nationwide channel used for calling, i think they call it ITAC here in NYC, i have it programmed in my XTS5000 and i get some jersy traffic on channel 1, i think there are 5-6 channels in that bandplan

There are 5 National 800MHz channels and most, if not all, Public Safety trunking systems have them in their radios.
866.0125 - Calling
866.5125 - TAC-1
867.0125 - TAC-2
867.5125 - TAC-3
868.0125 - TAC-4

Unfortunately, some system administrators do not enforce their use, so some municipal surveyors use some of those channels in my area - very annoying.
I thought they were strictly for Public Safety use, but maybe not.

    Nice listing!

Here in South Florida, 169.450 is active, and 164.775 as well, both with a PL of 100.0 Hz. I assume both are Customs/Border Patrol.

Since we are discussing FEDERAL AGENCIES, here are a few facts. NO don't expect the 800MHZ ICALLS to be used. Thats not a hard and fast rule, but speaking from experience, many agencies may have a base station or a smattering of portables for this system. In some cases if surround local agencies are VHF or UHF there is a more likely chance of them having an agreement for use on some of these channels/systems. Besides the frequencies mentioned above the old 155.475 is many of these radios. There are new frequencies for both VHF and UHF operations on the local, State level, and these are beginning to find their way into the radios. It can be a pain to get approval for local systems to be put in the radio sometimes, and many agencies balk at buying a 800MHZ radio for this. Some borrow or get loaner units, and if you are lucky and in a major metropolitan area you will find some agencies operating on both. Trust me, just trying to get the USCG to purchase a base or HT/Mobile for FWC thru their channels is a logistical nightmare. Its easier to "loan" one out rather than wait a year for a descision to be made. The mileage varies, but this will hold tru to many systems. Expect more patch capability in the future....

You are correct. 169.450 is very busy here in the Mobile, AL area. Lots of clear comms here.

great info so far. some I had and some I didn't

I have a few banks setup for common federal coms. I have found some military freqs listed as common military air (I know there is a military forum and not trying to get off topic). about a month or so ago when the private plane hit the building in NYC, I just turned that bank on and I heard activity on the NORAD freqs I had programmed.

I just want a "collection" like that for other coms for situations. I know it may be a waste of space on my scanner and I will probably never hear anything on most.

Notes -

LE - Law Enforcement
IR - Incident Response
The rest you probably know.

While I have banks programed for FRS, MURS, low power, etc, I include the selected ones above in the interops bank(s) for their encouraged or known use. Same with air/mil freqs.

Programming inputs is just a thing with me. Knowing how close to you a radio user is may be useful.

The US Gov Common frequencies are used by several federal agencies in various interop configurations.

National Interagency Fire Center frequencies should be considered as well.

Feel free fine tune the list and post here!

US Customs and Border Protection (CBP):
  • 165.2375 R - A1 - PL 100.0 Hz
    166.4375 R - A2 - PL 100.0 Hz
    164.6000 R - A6 - PL 100.0 Hz
    166.4875 R - A7 - PL 100.0 Hz
    165.6875 R - A8 - PL 100.0 Hz
    .

  • As a side note, CBP no longer labels their channels as A1, A2, etc. They are now Net 1, Net 2, etc. for repeater channels and Tac 1, Tac 2, etc. for simplex channels.

Yes. No one has sent me updated information, though. MT Fed Files has the updated list.

170.565

while I was waiting for an appointment today, I did a search and found 170.565 with a PL of 97.4 active. anyone know what it might be used for? there was about 4 men talking. sounded like they were leaving for the day. I didn't have time to monitor any longer.
