Last Wednesday at about 10am, I turned the search feature on the scanner and caught what appears to be a federal interop repeater on 167.7875R using P25 in the clear/non-encrypted. The repeater was originating out of NYC and the control operator was "FBI NY" conducting a test. They called the following agencies: (some answered, some did not).
CBP Tactical Communications JFK - answered
IRS-NY - answered
US Park Police-NY - answered
US Park Police-Brooklyn
US Coast Guard
US Postal Inspection Service-Newark - answered
Federal Air Marshal's-NY - answered
Essex County Sheriff's Office-NJ - answered

I turned the scanner on late in the test and that's all I caught so I'm sure there are others. Just thought I'd post it and see if anyone else hears any other agencies or anything of interest. I'll be listening tomorrow around 10am again to see if it's a weekly thing.

Confirmed today at 10am, another round of tests on the frequency. "FBI NY" was the control operator and they called ATF, DEA, USAO, USMS, ICE, CBP, USSS, IRS, USPP, USCG, USPIS, FAMs, and a few others. They also called both the NY offices AND the NJ offices of each. So, it looks like it's an interop for NY and NJ, instead of just NY like previously posted.

Another thing I noticed is the frequency was repeated on the USPS NY Repeater 407.7750 using PL 82.5. And I think I caught it repeated on the USPS Interop Channel 414.750 but couldn't catch it quick enough.

414.75 is also used for the very same roll call. I don't recall if it is simulcasted on 167.7875 but I have noted it's on analog with a PL of 82.5 and P25 before.

Have you heard a PL of 82.5 Hz on 167.7875 MHz or are you talking about 414.7500 MHz?

Joseph,

I didn't catch the PL on 414.750 when the test was being conducted. 407.775 was using 82.5.

The 167.7875 was P25.
