I have a question... Is the EMS-to-Hospital radio communications done on the UHF Med-Com system or have they migrated to the county trunked system? I handle the communications stuff for a small Ambulance agency in the area and am trying to find a way to be able to radio the ER when my Ambulances are taking patients in. Unfortunately we aren't apart of any county or city department so we are on our own... :/ any help anyone?? :]

You would be much better off calling the requisite FD's for each County and ask them directly if your providing services in their County.

By statute each County must have in place a UHF EMS system, each hospital is to have its own UHF repeater system for 5 mile radius coverage, and each transport must have a minimum of a UHF mobile. So there should be no issue in communicating to the hospitals as they are supposed to be monitoring at a minimum MED8.
