I listen to Pinellas County Public Services Trunked System every day. This afternoon my scanner fell silent. I monitored the Control Channel and it was only getting occasional "Digital Noise" as if it was an encrypted voice channel. I normally only program one Control Channel because it worked fine and efficiently for my needs. It seemed that the Primary Control Channel 851.200Mhz was down here in East Largo. I switched to the 856.9625Mhz Control Channel and now I'm back up as before.

Anyone else encounter this? let me know.

Here on the other side of the bay control channels change all the time. It's definitely best if you program in all frequencies, that way you won't lose the ability to scan the system without having to reprogram it all the time.
