Just got an APX8000. In one zone are the freq's for the Boca P25 system. No trunking. All the freq's are conventionally entered, & in a scan list. The town is small enough that there are rarely 2 conversations at the same time, so the radio can keep up by conventionally scanning all the freq's, & I'm able to follow the conversation. Trying to do the same with the new WPB city system. Got the freq's from the list on RR, but I don't hear anything. Is there something special about WPB, or are they using phase 2? Any tips here? I have no interest in using the non affiliate method, as WPB is a small town, & the radio should be able to keep up like it does with Boca.

Any channel in a Harris system can be used as a control channel. May be locking on to one of those.

Changed a setting to Digital CSQ. Like digital PL decode open. Works fine now. Thanks.
