Manatee County EDACS - recent trouble

Starting about this last weekend I've been hearing lots more static, low signal levels, and many repeats, fills, and complaints of no copy from deputies and dispatchers. Some Talk Channels seem to be better then others.

Does any body know what is going on?

It's ancient and it is being replaced with an Airbus (Cassidian) p25 system.

Motorola has since taking over the project after buying out Airbus who wanted out of the market. I would suspect the EDACS to go away this year or early next at the latest.
