Read/Unread messages

What's going on tonight.
Normally I just click in to a forum and the threads with new messages are highlighted yellow.
But tonight I find I'm reading the same messages over and over if I use that method.
Then suddenly not only that but I suddenly find masses of old stuff is highlighted in yellow!!
Marked whole forum as read now and will see how that goes.

Make sure you're logged into the forums (this site has at least three different logins, the main one at the top center of every page, the forum one between the two menu bars (starting with "Home" for the whole site and starting with "User CP" for the forums). (The Wiki has its own login as well). You can be logged into the site, but not the forum and your forum settings will often act as you indicate.
