When I receive an email about a new message in a topic I am subscribed to I get a link like this: (Thread name and message numbers changed to protect the guilty.) (Also note that the links are truncated in this message but when you hover over it it expands to the full link.)

https://forums.radioreference.com/name-of-forum/987654-name-of-topic-new-post.html

When I click on that link from the email this appears in the address within the new Safari window: (note it is http instead of https and the "showthread.php?p=" instead of a slash):

http://forums.radioreference.com/showthread.php?p=12345678#post12345678

I then get the Safari "Cannot find this page" message. I then reload the page and it redirects to the below:

https://forums.radioreference.com/name-of-forum/987654-name-of-topic.html#post12345678

This occurs in Safari on both my Macs and iOS devices as well as Safari for Windows. It does not seem to happen in FireFox or Chrome.

Is there something I can do in Safari to fix this or is this just the way it is? I have to reload it every time i go to a subscribed topic, this can be a dozen or more times a day.
