I am new to this is there a place on the forms to read up on how to do this ? I would like to get a digital scanner but it does not seem as easy as it used to be. I am from Pasco Co. Florida and would like to listen to the Sheriff and the state police if I can even listen to them mabe they are scrambled

You wont need a digital scanner to listen to the Sheriff.
The State Police you will NOT be able to listen to.

Looks like Pasco has EDACS and the State Police has EDACS ESK. Most scanners have many modes. The EDACS ESK can't be heard unless they are out of encrypt mode. It's a unique code, there are some programs that can decode it, but that's extra expense you may not want.

I thought that the PSR500/600 had EDACS ESK ability out of the box. I don't own one, but I am sure I saw that posted here somewhere.
