Noob with re-banding question

Just what is rebanding? I have a very simple to use BC 95 XLT which fits my needs to a "t".should I be concerned about this subject.Thanks in advance.

If your area isn't trunked, and the 95 (which isn't a trunking scanner) then you have little to be concerned about. It is entirely possible that frequencies like conventional fire dispatches might change,
but hopefully all that will cause is a little reprogramming.
