This one I have been thinking about for a little while. Tried to find the answer on our wiki but did not. I want to know where I can find the call sign for my location (ex. (one of my favorie members) is nd2mk (whats up Jerri?)). Is this even called a call sign (not sure so I gave it a name that makes sense to me...;)?

Call signs are issued by the FCC they can be looked up in a number of places, this one is straight from the horses mouth as it were http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchLicense.jsp
N2mdk is my amateur radio callsign.
There are all sorts of call signs all licensed FCC radio stations have then TV and Radio stations your local police/fire whatever have them. They can be a combination of letters, or letters and numbers.
Nothing is up really just the State id drying out, we only had a little flooding here in Ames.
