DECODING PAGERS (on LINUX)

Anyone know if PDW (software for decoding pager signals) will run on Linux (Ubuntu)?

If not does anyone know of any pager deconding software that runs on Linux?

You could try it through WINE

I have PDW working under WINE in Xubuntu 9.10. No extra messing around required other than the usual sound level mess.

Jay - ha, don't believe you have said that!! - I've had PDW up and running (Ubuntu/Linux 9.10) before I posted the question and thats the EXACT problem I've got ... yer, it's a right mess.

I thought it may have something to do with the WJ-8617B-S1 level output - I've tried the headphone output and the line output from the receiver (the line out is DC coupled), I've tried a dozen different IF bandwidths/filters - it makes no difference no matter how you adjust things - it's a mess.

Where do you think the problem lies, and do you have any ideas to solve it?

Is the Line out a direct discriminator? If not, then that could be your trouble.
