Hello everyone,
I have a Uniden BC346xt handheld scanner that I use in Toronto, Canada to listen to the analog trunk system that all of our public safety responders are on.
I have been able to listen in for months to the transmissions without any problems, but recently I have encountered a strange phenomenon, that has been happening consistently (to my great annoyance!).
When set to a talkgroup, the scanner will broadcast the audio for an interval of 5 seconds, and then for 1 second it will drop the signal and no sound will be heard. This happens continuously; 5 seconds of signal, 1 second of silence. This makes it very difficult to listen to full conversations and is causing my hair to turn grey.
Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Oliner
