FRS/GMRS/MURS

Question:

When I scan FRS/GRMS/MURS using the Whistler "Service Search" method (in this case on a PSR-800) it appears to work as expected with squelch breaking only on decent signal.

When I program the same channels into scanlists (direct import from the RR DB), they break squelch almost constantly unless I set the manual squelch fairly high.

Why the difference? I would expect the performance to be identical since its the same freqs being scanned.

I have a PSR-500, but, perhaps due to a lack of local activity, I haven't noticed a difference in squelch settings between the service search and scan list monitoring.
