Hello all,

Today I am going to purchase a mobile and power supply. I'd like to build an NYPD feed.

What would people be most interested in?

NYPD transit all channel scanning or 1 selected channel or NYPD 25/28/32 and 26/30?

Im thinking of getting a mototrbo radio. Can this be used for the feed? I'd like something plug and play but not a scanner. I have a dell laptop to use for the feed. So any good radio suggestion under $300 would be great.

So I went and got this radio and power supply and am getting a low profile antenna.

Can this radio be tapped to use as a feed radio?
How so? And can anyone near NYC program it conventional RX only for about 100 or less channels RX only?

So here's what I got today for $225.
Motorola CDM1550LS Radio (450-512)
power supply,
phantom antenna (450-512)
CDM USB Programming cable
Cable 62 CDM for the stream.

What is needed for the laptop, a cable direct to the modem?
And what the best software?

It's gonna be about 2 weeks but I'll have a good feed up from Harlem.

You'll have the cables you need. The Cable 62 plugs into your laptop's line/mic in.
As for software, if you meant streaming software, I believe there is a list on the Wiki. If you meant programming, there is only one. Motorola CPS. Purchasable from Motorola.
