Just thought I would ask others if they prefer Uniden, Whistler, or GRE scanners for RXing EDACS narrowband analog. And any input on RXing this type TRS?

Buy a Harris P7100. It will sound better and do the same and it won't brake as easy as a police scanner will. There a guy on Ebay that sells them and will program them for receive as well

Uniden scanners seem to be best at RXing EDACS Narrowband. You can do it with Whistler and/or GRE but Uniden makes it easiest to trunk-track and program EDACS Narrowband systems and groups.

As KG7PBS said however, if you can get a P7100 programmed exactly for the groups you want to monitor, receive only of course, it is a better receiver, both audio wise and build quality.
