The funniest part of that article is the mention of a "police scanner" on the floorboard of the vehicle. I was hoping to see a picture of the scanner and see what kind of radio the whacker had. I died laughing when I saw what type of "scanner" he had.

Since they lied to every question I'd bet they were looking to rob someone. They should have handed the pistols barrel first to the officer as he approached the car. Would have save the courts a lot of money

Not a scanner at all but a CCR! Wonder if it was set up for xmit on the pd frequencies?
