I have re-sent it as a rar file and it worked for me.
Hopefully it will work for everyone, but you will need WinRAR to open it.

Enjoy,
Mark

Darn, I missed it.. I have been sitting on Dearbron waiting for theirs, they have not done it as of yet...I don't remember Franklin County doing that last year...If Dearborn does it I'll post it...

Mark,

I'd like to hear that, think you can post it in the Monix group?

I have posted the Franklin County Santa BOLO in the files section
of the MONIX Yahoo Groups. Look in the "Other Files" folder.

I also have one for Preble County that is too large to post.

Also I heard Dearborn County's Santa BOLO about 11:10 PM on
the Dearborn County Highway Dept. frequency 151.1150.
Did not get enough of it recorded to make it worthwhile.

It does seems like more departments are doing it this year.
I think I may write a thank you letter to them. It would be
a nice change of pace.

Merry Christmas to all!
Keep an ear out for those BOLOs.

Santa in Calif.

Here's once just broadcast in the last hour in Orange. County, California:

On Orange County Countywide Trunked Radio System, Red Channel Talkgroup
50720 Digital, dispatch put out a broadcast as follows:

All units and stations get ready to copy a broadcast. A 459 (burglary)
residential suspect headed to Orange County.

The description is of a flying vintage red sleigh, powered by reindeer, and
the lead reindeer has a flashing red nose. NORAD reports an unidentified
flying object seen across North America headed towards Orange County. There
is a 925 (suspicious) driver known as Santa Claus, St. Nicholas, and other
names; he is a large white male, 6'2", 350-375 pounds, with long white hair
and beard, rosy red cheeks and nose. Wearing a red jacket with white trim,
he was seen smoking a pipe. He bags are empty when he leaves the
residences. As he leaves he is heard saying "Ho ho ho, a Merry Christmas to
all, and to all a good night."

Here is a nice one from the Preble County, Ohio Sheriff's Office.
Its several minutes long and unpacks as a mp3 file..

Preble County is a rural county located in western Ohio on the Indiana State line just west of Dayton.

Enjoy,

In my home county (Payne County, Okla.), Santa gets a more friendly reception! I wasn't home this year to hear it, but it generally goes something like this:

Santa: Santa Claus calling Payne County Sheriff's Office.

SO: Payne County 400 (Sheriff Carl Heiner) to Santa Claus, go ahead.

Santa: 400, just wanted to let you know I'm entering your county to deliver toys to all the good little boys and girls.

400: 10-4, Santa. Break, 400 to all Payne County units and listening agencies, Santa Claus, a WM, medium height, heavy build, white hair and beard, wearing a red suit, has been cleared by this agency to make scheduled deliveries. Santa is driving a red sleigh pulled by 8 reindeer, and will be stopping at houses across the county. All units and agencies are requested to extend all courtesies and assistance. Break, Santa, you are cleared to proceed.

Santa: Thank you, 400! Ho-Ho-Ho! Merry Christmas, sheriff!

400: Thank you, Santa. Merry Christmas to you and drive safely.

I about fell out of my chair the first time I heard this!

Merry Christmas to all!

My home fire departments do a Christmas rhime. I will post a wav or mp3 file of it, when I shorten the one I have up. I was away from home all evening and didn't know when they were going to say it so the recording ended up being 93 minutes long  so now I've gotta find a free wav editor online and edit it. BTW- Does anyone know of a good free wav editor that I can download?

Yeah they do that here in AZ also, DPS does one every Christmas eve, ATL for a red elfin model sleigh last seen over Phoenix at a high rate of speed driver is described as a jolly elderly male with a long white beard wearing all red possible accomplices are twelve reindeer one with a bright red nose..............or something like that I think they say he is wanted for sneaking into houses through the chimneys and eating cookies and drink milk then leaving behind presents.

I was real young and I remember they interupted a radio station here in Detroit and said Selfridge Air base had something on radar that was in the sky heading for the area. It was a object with 8 smaller objects in front of it .They said they were sending fighter jets to find out what it was after some time they said on the air the fighter jets found it to be Santa that was in the late 60's and we lived by a Nike Base in Utica and remember thinking about they might be sending those things at it .
