Hello to all!
This may seem like a stupid question but is the backlight and display the same.
What I mean is the backlight is out and some of the bank markers are out also.
If I replace the LED will that fix both?

No, the light is usualy a little bulb or bulbs.

What radio? Without that info there's no way to even guess.

But, as for anything remotely modern they use LEDs. If it's a 2055 or 2096 type unit and the front panel ribbon cable loses connection it's possible for both do go out, especially if it's a main power supply line that's no longer connected.

I was calling the LEDs little bulbs because the poster seemed a bit noob.
