The Incident Room (http://www.theincidentroom.com ), a project by IBN
has been officially re-launched. After months of being in re-
development we are pleased to send out this announcement that after
some extensive re-design, beta testing and working out kinks we are
ready to officially relaunch this free service to the public.
What is TIR you ask?
TIR - The Incident Room is a free for everyone national incident
notification system. Thats right, on this new build of our system we
now can send out email alerts, as well as posting alerts to our ticker
system and provide infomation on online feed / incidents that are
currently happening.
Sp whats the cost?
Unlike many other systems there is a charge to receive alerts, or
there are strict rules on how to receive alerts for free. Thats not
the case with TIR. Its ran by volunteers and so its free for
everyone.
What kind of alerts can you receive?
TIR is based on area, County and Country. You can expect to receive
all kind of alerts from police activity to fire events. It is always
based on emergency services though.
What if you want to volunteer?
TIR has a volunteer program, to send alerts - Currently we do not
offer rewards, as most know systems that offer awards for dispatchers
seem to find that they send out a lot of false alerts, and people
never get rewarded for anything. So why go down that path.
Anyways, hope to see you there http://www.theincidentroom.com
