Newbie With a Question?(I Can't Get Police & Fire Traffic Anymore)

I live in Monroe, La (Ouachita Parish) and have a Radio Shack Pro 2018 scanner. A year or so ago it worked, great getting all local police and fire traffic. It has been off for the last several months and now after I started using it again, I get zipola. I mean there is an occasional pick up, but NO dispatch traffic at all. I do hear some traffic but I don't think its police? Anybody have any idea?(I have read through most of the FAQ Wiki) Thanks in advance for any help. Great forum you all have here.

Maybe they've switched frequencies, Or systems, Check the database here on RR against the channels that are programmed into your scanner.
