Upgrading my scanner

Hello everyone I just sing in on the site and a very nice site by the way. My question is I got 1 scanner a RS PRO-66 50-channel scanner and my 2 meter mobile ham station that I use as my based scanner also and I got my 2meter basic licence. My question is Im looking to upgrade my scanner for a digital one and I want to know if its better with a digital or just stick with what I got now. I used to get the opp and ambulance on these scanner and now I cant anymore I can only heard the fire dept and even now I dont here them as much as I used to. But I had some good time with that scanner when I got it over 10 years ago.

I think you're going from one extreme to the other... There's a lot between a 10 year old 50 channel scanner and a $500 digital scanner... It may turn out that you only need a conventional scanner that trunks..
