New to the scanner World need some advice

I just purchased a 396T and live in central texas to be exact Fort Hood I have programmed bell county and it sounds great. But when i programmed Fort Hood i pick up stuff but it is hard to make out what they are saying like as if the signal isnt any good. is there any thing i can do to be able to clearly here fort hood stuff on my new scanner. thank you

Try using Attenuation, Its possible that the signal is too strong being you are right there. Hope this helps Hoser
