Anyone have a list of ACTIVE federal frequencies in Atlanta/north Georgia that you're willing to share?

Most are encrypted, Mike. Use the ones that Bill is suggesting. They are pretty much up to date. Very little in the clear around here. DEA aircraft to mobile units the most common.Anyone have a list of ACTIVE federal frequencies in Atlanta/north Georgia that you're willing to share?

Thanks, Rod! Now that's exactly what I was hoping somebody would share. No offense, ECPS92, but your post about being a "newcomer" made me chuckle. I've been a well-known Atlanta scanner enthusiast since the mid-1970s - where were you about that time?
Thanks all for the info.
Mike
All federal law enforcement is using P25 encrypted 99.9% of the time in the metro Atlanta area.
Not true. DEA is always in the clear. FBI is in the clear occasionally, especially when they're not using aerial surveillance or a repeater.
The primary FBI frequency in Atlanta is 167.2125. It is not used for surveillance, but for running names and other administrative stuff. It is always P25 and occasionally encrypted. As for surveillance frequencies, there are plenty of web sources to find those.
DEA in the clear? Haha, that's funny, all that time on the task force and we were always encrypted.
I would say half of what we did was on Nextel groups and some of what we used was microwave 2.4Ghz and up. I assure you though DEA in metro Atlanta, including HIDTA are using all encrypted when they use 2 ways unless an agent turns it off for some reason. Most of it is simplex hand held to hand held anyways.
