GSP mobiles (Motorola XTLs) are NFM ready. The few remaining base stations will be replaced over the next few months. The mobiles have a zone with all of the Interoperability (V-TACs & Incident Response) and State frequencies programmed as NFM. The next zone is all of the same frequencies as WFM. The plan is for all state radio resources to switch over to NFM on July 1, 2012.

All patrol posts still have base stations for VHF and HF and will keep these.

Yes, all Post have 3 VHF base stations, but no HF. One station is for "HiBand" or 154.680/800, the next one is for "State Band" or 154.905/935. This is officially named Intrastate Coordinating Frequency (ICF). Then the last station is Inter City/ National Emergency or 155.370/475.

Ive seen a Motorola low band radio in 2 GSP posts myself. The comm officer said they were for use on a GEMA network or frequency.
GSP is using regional communications centers rather than having comm officers at every post...however the equipment is being kept in operation at each post.
