Been listening this morning and afternoon and they moved Holly Springs to TAC 8 (east dispatch) and traffic, K9, and animal control to TAC 6 (west dispatch) earlier this morning. Since then they have told units over the air they are working out of the mobile command truck. Anyone hear of anything going on?

Bet they may have been doing some upgrades in their center and just moved everyone out and put them in the trailer?

The Cherokee County 9-1-1 Center was hit by lightning Sunday evening around 8:00 PM and this forced the dispatchers to work off portable radios. Moving agencies to channels they don't normally work on could be the result of their radio shop, electricians and others working to correct the problems caused by the lightning damage. I know they are working on narrow banding some of their systems too, so these changes in operations could be related to techs swapping out old repeaters for new, reprogramming and the like, if not related to the lightning hit.

This would make sense. Thanks for the info.
