The FCC might be moving slowly, as i see some posts on eHam and QRZ regarding the delay some have seen as well.

Either way you got it now, enjoy!

This thread is about Amateur "Ham" Licensing not MURS.

As I recall from my VE days... the clock starts after the VE submits the paper work to the FCC... some Exam teams are quicker at getting in the results than others... once the FCC gets it.. then expect about a week. Just keep checking the FCC web site is my advice. Got the bug to get on real quick... maybe you can visit one of the guys you hear on the repeater and ask to become a Guest Operator during the visit. He would be your Control Operator per the regs...

I got it! It was really on there today! I took my test on Saturday 4 Apr and it was on the ULS tonight when I got home from work 9 Apr 2030. After hearing horror stories about ARRL VEC I was worried, but I have to give them respect for the whole process. I'm a licensed amateur (General)!!!

When I took my tech test, I tested on a Saturday and received callsign the following Thursday.
This past week, myself, my wife and daughter took our tests on Saturday, (them for tech and me for general) and it showed up in the FCC ULS database Tuesday afternoon. Now that was quick!

Congrats to those who just got their license. I just recently got mine too. Took the test on 3/21 and my callsign showed up on 3/27(so about a week). Joined the local ham club and have been on the air a few times and am really enjoying it. Am planning on taking the General Exam eventually but first want to learn a little more about the hobby and get myself a better radio before I upgrade. So I will get myself a study guide but take it slowly. There are a few things I want to do before becoming a General Class ham. In the meantime I think I can still have a lot of fun with what I have., I am interested in doing some EComm stuff and maybe attending a field day event and figuring out what rig and antenna will suit me best.Went to Skywarn training last spring so I can now join in with the local ham club net when I do spotting. So much I don't know. I still enjoying my scanners and am looking to upgrade to maybe either a PSR 500 or a RS Pro106 if it will cover my area. That plus the ham gear takes MONEY which I will have to save for....Well hope you have as much fun as I'm having

Back when I got my license, I had to wait 8 weeks before the FCC mailed my license. The internet didn't exist as it does today, there was no online ULS to check to see if it had been registered. I had to wait until I had paper in hand.

You should be so lucky to only have to wait a week or two.

About the same here, it took about 6 weeks for mine to show up in the mail. I remember having 28k dialup back then, but there was no where to check as the ULS system wasn't in place yet like it is now.

I took my test on Fathers' Day, 6.21. Hope it makes it to the ULS before field day!

Default It's killing me too

I passed Tech back on Sunday at a fest. COMPULSIVELY checking ULS now....

Patience is not one of my virtues.

Studying hard is! Passed 100% which is always my goal.

before the current Internets, 1994, I recall calling a number at the FCC which was updated weekly to confirm the issue of the callsign. I think mine was 2 weeks.

Yes, I passed my Tech and General and I'm waiting, too; but I guess I need to wait because my radio hasn't gotten here yet so there's no point in getting excited hah.
