Default New GMRS Repeater - Newport, NC

I put up another repeater in Newport, NC this past Saturday. It is on the GMRS Linking Project and has a pretty large footprint as the antenna is at 500 feet. It covers Emerald Ilse and Atlantic Beach very good as well as the surrounding areas. It's open for GMRS license holders, so if you're heading to the beach for vacation, don't forget your radios. The repeater is the sister repeater to the Jacksonville GMRS repeater. Once I can get the ports open, they will be linked full-time.

Jacksonville, NC (Hubert) - 462.6250 PL 114.8 / 467.6250 DPL 315
Newport, NC (Hibbs) - 462.5750 DPL 315 / 467.5750 DPL 315

The locals use MDC for caller ID, so use DOS if you have it. MDC ID is typically the last part of your call if you choose to enable it on your radio. Enjoy!
