PSR-500 & Starcom 21 with P25

I get confused really easy now days . I am having trouble programming my
Grecom PSR-500 for the Illinois State Police , District 12 and also the Effingham County Illinois 911 system

The ISP uses Starcom 21 and the P25 system.

The sheriff's dept uses Starcom 21 from what I can see, with no P25

I have tried programming these in but I receive nothing when scanning..

Also I have noticed when looking for the frequencies for these entities, I find
different websites have different frquencies. So now I am confused and also on what
goes where when programming.

I use Scan Lite Plus when programming, is their something better

You need to program a P25 System using tower 327-Effingham, CC=852.9875 and the alternate CC=851.4125, 853.875....shows in the Starcom data base on this web site TG8326-Effingham Co and TG8151-Effingham City....Both are P25 and digital as Starcom is only "digital".....The tower looks to be far down from your city so you may have trouble receiving the signal....

And for P-25 Systems program the type on the PSR-500 as P-25 Auto.

Thanks everyone for their input. I downloaded WIN 500 and
going to try it out today

WIN500 and Grecom PSR-500

Bought WIN500 and had my scanner programmed
within about 20 min.
