Hello All
My PSR-800 has been acting up in a way that used to be fixable. My last attempt at upgrading the library resulted in error codes regarding the micro SD card. I have replaced them in the past, but now they will not format. I have tried both 4GB and 8GB, and no joy.
Ideas?
Thanks in advance to all!

I imagine you are getting a 03-XX error code.

There is no other fix than to format and reprogram.

However .. not all cards will work in your scanner. I have noted that some cards just do not work .. and they often are the newer faster cards that have this issue.

From the HELP file .. go to CMD prompt and do the following. Or you can use the 'Prepare SD Card .. bla bla option in the software .."

Should you choose to do this manually, the recommended FORMAT Commands are as follows:

Drive Size
Command
Less than or equal to 2GB
FORMAT <DRIVE>: /FS:FAT /A:32K /X /V:EZSCANDG
Greater than 2GB
FORMAT <DRIVE>: /FS:FAT32 /A:32K /X /V:EZSCANDG

In the commands shown above, replace the <DRIVE> portion of the command with the drive letter of your Micro-SD Card.

I use the application SDFORMATTER to format SD cards for the scanners, rather than Windows. It's free and seems to do a good job.
