Talking keeping the light on screen on

Hello all
Is there a way to get light on screen to light up when it picks up a channel or frequency. If anyone knows how on my psr-800 let me know please step by step. Thanks

this *might* work.....

For each object (talkgroup/channel, etc.) there is an attribute you can activate the backlight -- this will cause the display to light upon a talkgroup/channel going active --

The easiest way to do this is in EZ Scan - you can set a whole system's talkgroups at the same time.

(my 800 is OOS right now so I cannot verify)

EDIT: It's coming back to me now --- Whistler models have a newer option to set this globally - the 800 requires it to be set per object.

Via ezscan- the general settings tab, which is the main page when you open the program, back-light settings on the left. You select the option for how you want the lighting to work with either the battery or plug-in power in the drop-down menu.

Via the scanner itself it gets way more "steppy". You have to get into expert settings I believe, a lot of "drilling" down.
