hello i know i need a 9volt cigarete plug with 500ma will it hurt the scanner any if i get a 9volt with 1000ma. i want to make sure i do the rite thing here. and not hurt the scanner expensive little toy. thanks for any help

The radio will only draw what it needs.
The 1000ma will be fine.
