New LAPD - 484.325

Seems the LAPD keeps using more of their large pool of idle licensed frequencies.

In February they began to use 506.875 at the newly opened Metropolitan Detention Center.

Now for a few couple weeks I have noted what appears to be detective/surveillance activity on 484.325 NAC466, mostly in Central / Mid-City areas.

Anyone have a frequency number / official usage title of 484.325 so I can add it to the DB?

I havent really been keeping track, but I do hear them say to switch to "JAIL 1" occassionally. Perhaps there is Jail 2.

No I dont believe 484.325 has anything to do with the new jail. The 3 times I have heard activity, it was all related to surveillance activity out on the streets.

484.3250 is used by the Narcotics Buy Teams. It's been in use for quite some time.

I suppose it would be good to once in a while keep an eye on the dozen or so extra frequencies they are licensed on in case things pop up.

do you have a list of these licensed yet unused freqs? I could put them in an extra scanner at work and just leave it scanning.
