Live in Tustin but right on the Santa Ana border. When a dispatch comes in and they then end saying for example " respond on 3 DELTA. I have a bearcat 996T and the channels listed for SAFD are A TAC, B TAC, C TAC, D TAC, of course Dispatch and one listed as TAC. Is it one of those and if so which one would be 3 DELTA ?

Thanks for helping the less imformed :)

Santa Ana fire mostly uses 3 delta for scene management after they get assigned to a call or run. The "delta" name is just the military phonic word for the letter "D" so if you program all the tac channels you will get the scene management radio traffic. SAFD also uses other Tac channels when they get sent to assist with mutual aid in another area such as Tustin or any of the cities that border Santa Ana. Just last night when they got sent to either Fountain Valley or Huntington beach on a structure fire they were instructed to switch to talk group 3 Echo

In order to hear 3Delta I think you have to be monitoring the South system instead of the Countywide system OCFA is simulcasting on.
