A reminder that the LA Marathon is this weekend.

Similar to the last two years, the course runs from Dodger Stadium down to the sea, with runners passing through Echo Park, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Westwood, West LA and finishing in Santa Monica

This will be a major logistical exercise for many entities involving street closures, crowd control, and hundreds of medical calls.

As in past years the following agencies should be active.

LAPD – several bureau/citywide tacs
LAFD (will have their gator teams assigned along with field first aid stations set up)
LA City DOT, Street Services, and General services active on 800Mhz trunked systems
LACo Sheriff – likely mix of C-Tac, A-Tac’s and Mutual Aid channels (to aid with comms with Bev Hills and Santa Monica) plus local West Hollywood L-Tac active
LACo Fire
West Hollywood – Public works
Beverly Hills PD
Beverly Hills Fire
Beverly Hills Public Works
Beverly Hills EOC will be activated
Santa Monica Police (last year they removed encryption on one of their channels)
Santa Monica Fire
Santa Monica public works
And could be that ICIS will again “lend” the marathon organizers a TG for course communication.

LA City DOT busy sounds like putting up signage and delivery of barricades across the course.
