Default DRC-200 Programing Cable

Hi all,

I have recently picked up a DRC-200 repeater, and I am looking at building a programming cable vs buying one. Does anyone have plans for one? Is it a straight serial to mic jack, or does it have more components than that?

Thanks!

Post DRC-200 Programming Interface and notes

See attached PDF for the programming interface.

FOR DRC-200 REPEATER

INSTRUCTION SHEET

For this program to configure / read a KRD Series Repeater, the
following is needed:

A. An IBM-compatible computer with at least 256K Bytes of
memory.

B. MSDOS 2.1 or higher operating system.

C. An IA4500 Interface Adapter.

INTERCONNECTION

The IA4500 Interface cable with DB25 connector connects to the
computer serial communications port, COMM1 or COMM2. The 6 wire
flat cable from the IA4500 plugs into the REPEATER MIC Jack.
There is logic signal level conversion circuitry within the
IA4500 DB25 plug assembly.

1. Connect the IA4500 Adapter to the computer's COM1 or COM2 port.

2. Connect the 6-conductor reverse-wired Modular cable to the
IA4500 and to the Repeater's MIC Jack.

3. Turn on the Repeater. The Repeater should emit a Beep.

4. Insert the disk. (It is highly recommended that a WORK COPY
be made of this disk and only use it for actual programming
purposes. The program is menu-driven for all pertinet commands.

5. Type in DRC200 and press ENTER (or RETURN) for COM1, or type
in DRC200/2 and press ENTER for COM2.

Kelsey,
Do you have the software to program the DRC-200?

Do you have the technical information on the unit?

Let me know. I have a zip file which contains everything if you want it.
