Angry Status of Hytera CPS?

Hello,

This is not a request for pirated software. There seems to be some confusion about how to get Hytera Customer Programming Software. It may be mostly on my part.

I bought a Hytera MD782G today at a flea market that included the programming cable. The seller said the software was available free from the Hytera Website. I want to program the radio for the local Ham DMR repeaters.

However, I see no link for the files on the US website, just some funny matrix thing with brief references to radio models and accessories. I registered with the site and only see brochures and warranty info in the file download section. I did find some download listings on the china site, but they are only for distributors and partners.

Doing some research it seems the software is only available through my dealer. So do I now have a paperweight because the seller did not pass on the programming software with the cable?

It appears the radio firmware is Version 4.5 and I need to upgrade the firmware to use the available CPS.

Default Hytera software

The copy I use was purchased from a dealer online. The website downloads are only for dealers and technical partners. It is usually around $50 unlike the Motorola programs. Check this link. Hytera DMR Software V5 00 09 008 PD782 PD702 RD982 MD782 Programming CD | eBay

Hello,

The links only work if you have an account and logged in.

I was able to solve the problem. After I found a 32 bit Win7 computer, I was able to program a few analog and DMR frequencies.
